How to turn iPhone photos into an ordered PDF

Prepare page photos, choose a web or iOS workflow, and check page order, orientation and readability before sending.

Photograph pages for readability

Put the page on a flat surface in even light. Keep the camera parallel to the paper, include all four corners and avoid shadows across text. A converter can package an image into a PDF; it cannot recover words that were blurred in the photograph.

For receipts, capture the vendor, date, totals and any details your accountant needs. Retake an unreadable receipt before combining it with the rest.

Choose the web tool or the scanner

Use the web images-to-PDF tool when the pictures already exist. Add supported files using the uploader and arrange the inputs in the sequence you need. If your phone exports a format the uploader does not accept, export a supported JPG or PNG copy first.

Use PushPDF on iOS when you want to scan paper directly. The app's scanning workflow is useful for repeated receipts or multipage paper documents. Its iCloud library is separate from your PushPDF web library; do not assume a web upload appears automatically on your phone.

Check the assembled document

Download the PDF and count its pages. Check the first, middle and last page, then confirm every photo is upright. For example, a three-receipt expense packet should have three readable pages in the same order as your expense entries.

If a page is missing, verify all files were accepted before converting. If the order is wrong, correct the input sequence or use the PDF page tools. Preserve a copy of the original photos until you have checked the final PDF.

Keep size and text expectations realistic

Large modern photos can create a large PDF. Use PDF compression on the assembled document if you need a smaller attachment, and inspect small print afterward. Reducing image quality too far can make receipt totals unreadable.

A photo-based PDF contains page images. Use OCR when you need extracted text, and proofread the output; OCR errors are more likely with crumpled receipts, handwriting and poor lighting.
